While Nancy Reagan's California style was quite different than her predecessors, the White House Interiors remained fairly similar to the Kennedy renovation. The main changes were in the personal rooms, such as the bedrooms, bathrooms, and family kitchen. The famous Lincoln Bedroom was updated with new linens for the bed and artwork on the walls, and the paint was brightened a bit. The Red Room was nearly identical, so I've included the Green Room in its place.

Interestingly, I don't mind the master bedroom! It's got kind of a homey feel to it but is still polished. I think it's sort of channeling my grandma's bedroom though, so I'm biased to think interiors like that are all soft and cuddly...

It really reminds me of my mom and dad's bedroom in that era, very California. I had to edit for space, but they were kind of a cute and cuddly couple that ate dinner off of TV trays in their bedroom when they were alone.

that wallpaper looks a little busy - but reminds me of the 80's style.

The master bedroom seems pretty understated for the White House, but I have a feeling the Reagans were just real, down-to-earth people. I saw a video once of the Reagan Ranch and it too was simple, clean decor.
